SEA Wildlife Interpreters will set up spotting scopes for viewing the Shell Island and Simpson Reef premier Oregon coastal haul out sites. You will be able to see, up close, thousands of California and Stellar sea lions, harbor seals and elephant seals resting and cavorting on land and in the water! Don’t forget to watch the sky for bald eagles, osprey and blue herons, and the recently seen, Great egret, with wingspans reaching 4 to 5 feet!
SEA Interpreters will be available to ensure the animals are in focus and answer questions every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. through Labor Day.
