IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild™ is an outdoor concert series where America’s most stunning landscapes replace the traditional concert hall. Guests explore the surrounding environment while listening to the music through wireless headphones, creating an immersive experience that fosters a connection with the music, nature, and with one another. Explore the full 2024 series at inalandscape.org. About this location: This concert will take place at the Shore Acres State Park in Coos Bay, Oregon. Once the estate of the illustrious lumber baron, Louis J. Simpson, Shore Acres State Park is an awe-inspiring landscape of manicured gardens and lawn perched on the cliffs above a dramatic coastline. Concert check-in opens at 4:00 pm, and the performance begins at 5:00 pm. A portion of ticket sales from these two Shore Acres concerts (September 4 & September 5) will benefit the Friends of Shore Acres who have partnered with the Sunset Bay Management Unit since 1986 to care for the gardens, the gift shop, and to organize the magnificent Holiday Lights show that brings thousands of visitors each year to enjoy this Oregon treasure.
