Two hidden gems in the dense emerald forests of southwest Oregon, Golden and Silver Falls are transformed by the spring rains into beautiful cascades of scintillating mountain waters.
Join the South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve on July 5 from 10AM to 3:30PM for this moderately-strenuous, 3-mile hike. We will explore these falls and the rich natural and cultural history of this special place.
This hike is free, but pre-registration is required. There is a maximum of 16 hikers. Programs may be cancelled due to low enrollment or hazardous weather.
Things to bring: sturdy hiking boots, camera, water bottle, lunch, and snacks.We will provide transportation from Coos Bay.
