Coastal Memory Walk
Coastal Memory Walk – More Than a Walk, A Community United
The Coastal Memory Walk in Bandon is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a community event to spread awareness, share resources, and update the public on the latest Alzheimer's research. This walk is a tribute to those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia, past and present, while fostering hope for a future without this disease.
The 2025 walk will take place on June 28th, beginning at Bandon City Park and leading participants west toward the Pacific Ocean. From there, walkers can choose from three scenic routes:
- The Pelican (2.5 mi) – A beach walk past Face Rock, accessible via 124 stairs. This route meets up with the famous Circles in the Sand, featuring a special Memory Circle where participants can write messages in the sand in honor or memory of loved ones.
- The Seagull (1.5 mi) – A shorter beach walk past Elephant Rock, with optional stair access.
- The Puffin (1 mi, ADA-accessible) – A paved cliff walk with breathtaking ocean views.
This event is made possible by our generous sponsors, including Pacific View Senior Living, South Coast Hospice, Evans Family, Southern Coos Hospital, Ohana Ventures, and many other local businesses and community partners.
Join us as we walk in honor, in memory, and in action—because together, we can make a difference.
