DESCRIPTION:NEW! Washed Ashore Workshops in Coos Bay\n\n\n\nAfter 10 years at our home in Bandon\, The Washed Ashore Project is delighted to be opening our doors to a second location in Coos Bay\, purpose built for creating and maintaining artworks and providing education programs and volunteer activities. The new facility at 1584 N Seventh St will be home to our resident artists and our premier location to host workshops that lend to creating our giant marine sculptures that educate the world about plastic pollution.\n\n\n\nTo get to know our new neighbors\, Washed Ashore would like to invite our valued community members to our spring volunteer workshops in our brand new workspace. \n\n\n\nWednesday Workshops will be for ability level 3 projects.\n\n\n\nTo work on ability level 3 projects\, volunteers must be willing and comfortable in using drills and tools\, be willing to follow instruction and have some time to set aside (about 30 minutes).\n\n\n\nWashed Ashore staff will provide instruction\, no prior experience necessary!\n\n\n\nLevel 3 projects are some of the most essential that Washed Ashore needs and will account for up to 80% of one of our current sculptures!\n\n\n\nSaturday Workshops are for all ages and ability levels.\n\n\n\nWashed Ashore staff will provide activities for volunteers of all ages and ability levels to work on some of our ongoing projects.\n\n\n\nNo prior experience necessary!\n\n\n\nPlease wear closed-toed shoes while on the premises.\n\n\n\nWe will provide water\, coffee\, plastic free snacks\, or you could bring your own of course!
