MDS productions have been drawing regularly sold out audiences from the greater Coos and Curry Counties and beyond for 23 years. The Nutcracker\, no exception\, is set to Tchaikovsky's renowned score and premiers December 9 with 5 matinee and evening performances through December 17. This year's production is directed by Faith Slater and produced by studio owner\, Maria Merriam. "The Nutcracker is a time-honored treasure for so many people during the holiday season. We are honored to be part of their traditions and welcome new audience members every year\," said producer\, Maria Merriam. "There is something for everyone in this stunning family production\, which captures the joyful holiday spirit and showcases the exceptional talents of the MDS dancers through the choreography and magnificent sets and dazzling costumes." MarLo Dance Studio's breathtaking production of The Nutcracker makes this age-old holiday tradition sparkle like new. Audiences will be swept away as Clara\, the Nutcracker Prince\, the Sugar Plum Fairy\, dancing toys\, mischievous mice\, sparkling snowflakes\, waltzing flowers take them on a magical journey to the Land of Sweets.
