DESCRIPTION:The Bandon Bicycle Works Adventure Ride is a monthly destination ride. Each month we choose a new area to explore.\n\n\n\nThis is a day ride so be prepared!  Big miles\, long climbs\, ripping downhills\, wild scenery\, friends\, and adventure! Bikepacking\, Gravel\, Touring\, Hardtail bikes recommended. Bring water/purifier\, food\, spare tube/tubeless supplies\, tools\, proper clothing\, and whatever you need (fishing pole\, safety supplies\, etc.) \n\n\n\nRoute Description:\n\nThe Sixes Elk Loop is one of the best mixed-terrain loops on the Southern Oregon Coast. This loop can be started from any spot along the route\, but most will start at Sixes Grange.\n\n\n\nHead up Sixes road along the beautiful Sixes River passing campgrounds and river access points. 16.5 miles from Hwy 101\, make a right on Road 5201 where the gravel begins. Keep an eye out for Bigfoot!\n\n\n\nFollowing road 5201 you will have wooded mountain views. Then descend into the Elk River where you will find pavement at Butler Bar Campground.
